Protestors slam Russian policy

Demonstration has been held at the office of the Russian Healthcare Ministry, where the protestors were objecting to the ban of Georgian wine import in Russia, supporting Georgia in this controversy. The demonstrators demand resignation of the chief medical sanitarian, Genady Onishenko, independent expertise of Georgian wines and compensation to wine-makers.

Wine-admirers lay table at Russian embassy

A traditional Georgian table with traditional Georgian wine on it has been laid before the Russia's embassy in Tbilisi, where foreigners being in Tbilisi tried to demonstrate that they admired Georgian wine. The protesters were the members of the World Association of Wine Admirers. The demonstrators are objecting to the prohibition of Georgian wine in Russia. They even prepared a special manifest.

Action of «Re:action» in front of Russian embassy

Internet-group «Re:action» calls society to drink Georgian wine. They have carried out action in front of the embassy of Russian Federation in Georgia and brought on action «Borjomi» and Georgian wine made by various entrepreneurs. Members of «Re:action» invited representatives of Russian embassy also to drink Georgian wine but they refused this proposal. According to «Re:action», Russia's decision to prohibit import of Georgin wine carries political character.

Lithuanian students to protest Russian policy

In Vilnius in front of the Russian Embassy the Lithuanian students will hold a rally to protest the Russian policy against Georgia, including prohibition of the import of the Georgian wines, wine bases, cognacs and sparkling wines as well as vegetable products to Russian Federation.
Georgian MP, Chairman of the Committee on European Integration, Davit Bakradze expressed the gratitude towards the Lithuanian students and said that this fact once again would confirm that "Lithuania is a friend of Georgia".
